Time for a Teddy

Things have been so sad lately.  I needed some comfort and what is more comforting than a Teddy Bear?  I stamped this cute little guy and colored him with generic water color markers from Pat Catan's.  I shop there every time I go to Ohio.  My sister lives right behind one.  You really can't beat the prices there.  I punched out the mat with my new Marvy punches.  I used a bit of grosgrain ribbon and a beautiful metal leaf charm.  The paper was from the stash I stole from my sister's studio.  She will never miss it!!!!

I am entering this in the 2 Sisters Teddy Bear Picnic challenge.  I am still just trying for one challenge a week.  Hopefully I will get savvy enough to enter more that one challenge with the same card in the near future.  But for now, one is enough.

Hanging with Billy-Wayne

This beautiful flower is dedicated to the most amazing woman in the mother.  She passed away this week and it was the hardest thing I have ever been through.  My boyfriend and I traveled to Ohio to see her one last time.  My heart was broken.  My sister is an avid crafter and she took me to Pat Catan's which is a very affordable craft store in Ohio.  I found this image for only $1.  My sister crafts to relax so we all decided to do a little.

I ran the background through the texture boutique to emboss it with these great flowers.  The cardstock is all generic, at least I think it is.  My sister has these big racks full of paper and I may have taken a ton of it home with me.  Woops!  I colored the image with Copics which was my first attempt at using them.  Not too bad for someone who only crafts because my sister makes me.

Now comes the fun part.  I have been dating Billy-Wayne for a while now.  He decided he was going to craft with me and here is what he did:

Great job Billy-Wayne!!!!!!

I am entering this in only one challenge...2 Sisters Challenge which is embossing this week.  My sister is on the DT and I thought she would like that.  She is hurting too but I know my mother is in a better place.

We all love you mom!
